Final Year

Thesis

“Developing a De-noising Technique for the Canadian National (CN) Tower Lightning Current Derivative Signal” Under the Supervision of Mr. Mohammed Jahirul Islam, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology.

A modified Spectral Subtraction method was designed and proposed as the preferred choice for de-noising. It was shown that the proposed method improves on the existing solutions.

 

Undergraduate Level Projects

- Designed a 100 Gbps Fiber Optics Network for an area spanning over five districts from Panchagarh to Bogra.

- Developed a complete mail client system in Java.

- Designed and built network chat software with features such as Direct Client Communication & offline messaging.

- Developed a stand-alone arithmetic engine using a Z-80 microprocessor.

- Designed and developed a complete database system for the entire admission process of the university using Oracle 8.0i for the back end and Developer 6.0 for the front end.

- Developed a complete database system for inventory management of the department of CSE, SUST using Oracle 8.0i for the back end and Java for the front end.

- Developed “IVETE”, a feature-rich yet light-weight text editor, following rigorous Software Engineering Development Cycles and proper Documentations.

 

Scholarships

Three time recipient of Annual University Scholarship for Merit.

 

 

Extracurricular Activities

- Member of Bangladesh Astronomical Association. A regular contributor in ‘Mahakash Barta’, the leading publication on astronomy in Bangladesh.

- Actively participated in organizing the Sylhet Computer Fair in 2000 and 2003 as a member of organizing committee.

- Participated in the Inter-Departmental Debating Competition as a member of the team representing the department of CSE.

- Participated in many programming contests & attended workshops and seminars regarding competitive programming.
